WHAT IS WEB 3.0?
Tim Berners-Lee, a developer who created the WWW or World Wide Web, originally referred to Web 3.0 as the Semantic Web and saw an intelligent, self-sufficient, and open Internet that employed AI and machine learning to function as a "global brain" and interpret content conceptually and contextually.
As we enter Web 3.0, the team is developing RESIKLOS NFT, the first truly global plastic credit in the form of a utility token that incentivizes the community to participate in the preservation of the environment. Our aim is to give plastic waste value (especially the non-valuable plastic), we can establish a livelihood platform for the communities, and through this way, we can stop the leakage of plastic into landfill and oceans. In addition, this will stabilize the digitalization of end-to-end traceability of plastic waste from disposal to the recycling process. This will help companies comply with regulations and laws regarding handling, storing, and disposing of materials and products
The local problem needs a global solution. Global coordination technologies that can transcend the mass bureaucratization of climate action are urgently needed. This is where RESIKLOS Web3 innovation could help. Web3, a new iteration of the internet that harnesses blockchain to “decentralize” management, has positioned itself at the heart of the regenerative finance movement, or “ReFi” — a new economic paradigm that operates at the intersection of climate action and Web3 communities.
The emergence of Web3 technology, values, and ideas inherent to the ReFi movement can mobilize capital to fund the climate crisis solutions currently being researched by the RESIKLOS team, and within the time and at the scale required aligning with the UN treaty to address plastic pollution. Greater interest and research, as well as robust policy, are now invested in the ReFi space to become more effective in incentivizing individuals and businesses to care for the planet.
